Default Glasshouse Mountains Cleanup Day - Sat October # postponed #

Invite from Patrol4x4.com

Date - Sat 20th October

Time - whenever you can make it, people will be onsite at 7am

Place - At the top of Big Red on Woodford-Beerburrum Road - under the second powerline tract heading west from Beerburrum or Glasshouse Mountains.

Bring - the following, or as much of it as possible:

- PPE (good solid gloves, closed-toe shoes (preferably boots), long pants, sunhat and sunscreen, hi-vis vest if you have one)
- Water/refreshments (be aware that this is a publicised event so take it easy on the orange whips if you are driving)
- A means to carry rubbish away without wrecking the interior of your vehicle
- a camp chair for each person in your vehicle is a good idea
- Willing assistants
- A big smile

There are plans to put on a sausage sizzle so that will cover lunch for everyone, just bring some additional snacks etc. to keep you going during the day.

At the end of the day all will be welcome back at the Glasshouse Sports Club for a few coldies, the club is just north of the Matilda on Steve Irwin Way (where the sports grounds are). They will be helping us out with gold coin donation showers, they don't do meals on a Saturday night but will fire up the bbq for us so we will have some sausages there too

I think they are claiming they have recived some level of permission from the relevant authorities. Althought there is no clear statement as to what they have been told they can do and where they can go.

But there seems to be quite a large number of people attending. I guess by making the meeting place "on top of big red" you are going to get a few people turn up.
