10% seems pretty tight.
I guess your club is large enough to handle that type of ratio
So can anyone sign up and pay fees with a Toyota because they are a brother of another member for instance?
Just so long as it is still within 10%
There is no easy answers to any of this, and there are good arguments for and against...

its has only been close to 10% once
non jeep owners tend to drift away as majority of benefits tend not to cater for them
discounts to dealers etc
yes its a non easy answer
we tend to develop relationships with other clubs and do joint trips, this works really well - we have done trips with landrover club and goulburn valley

However the rest is correct, yep they are covered by insurance and also have the same rights in the club as any other member, they can be on the committee and pay the same membership fee.
|
also to that non-jeep members can not hold a upper committee position eg president
you will find that most of the non jeep will be past members or family and yes they dont seem to stay around to long

Anyone who is already in the club is allowed to stay, even if they no longer have a jeep. Its just that we're not letting anyone new in (who doesn't have a jeep). All our non-jeep members used to whine as soon as the rest of us headed off for Jambo, or camp coffs, so one easy way to fix that.

Can you guys give me an idea of how many paid up financial memberships you have in each club?
And is it one membership per couple or per person? (i.e If my wife and I want to become members, do we pay one membership or two?)

ACT we have only 20-25 members. A husband and wife count as 1 for us. A good thought though, we could double our membership numbers overnight.
