50mm lift?
Hey guys, i'm thinking of putting in some new springs n shocks, but 50mm higher then stock, cause me stock rear springs are stuffed, just wondering will there be anything else ill have to do to run 50mm higher springs? Any help would be awesome!

In a word, no. Jeep can supply the Mopar (Lovells) springs quoted at 50mm lift (lifted the front of my stock 2 door petrol 67mm and rear 63mm), and they will happily supply (and fit) them even without replacement shocks. Not recommended though, as this only leaves about 25mm down travel!
But at 50mm, no, you wont have any other problems apart from the steering wheel needing to be recentered. Diffs will move a small amount to the side, but not enough to worry about new track bars, and whilst it will lower caster, again, not really enough to worry about.
Depending on the shock lengths, you may need to relocate the rear brake line brackets down a little, but that should be it.

Thanks SeaComms, was just going to get dobinson coils n shocks for the time being until ive got the money for a bigger lift! Carrying all me camping gear in the back of my 2dr has sagged the crap out my stock springs! lol

I'm using Dobinson's, when u buy the rears, ask for the 4 door rear springs (assuming urs is a 2 door). It gives an extra 10mm and can carry weight nicely!!! I know cause I am!!!

Check the numbers on the tags of your springs i changed my for the diesel 4 door springs and got a nice lift no sag and drive alot better if you pm me the numbers you have now i can help
