Having the same problem with my sons TJ.Changed the battery and you turn the key getting the warning lights and chimes then nothing. There is a light staying on in the top left hand corner but I have to find his manual to work out what the light is for. Any help would be great.
Regards Mike

Is his TJ an auto Mike? I have had the Hot Oil warning, check engine and traction control lights staying on. The module gets changed out on Monday but I haven't had an issue since the dealers had it last so I'm not sure if the module is the problem or not.

Yes its an auto.I found the manual,it looks like it might be the sentry light.I might have to take the car back to Jeep to have them decode it and reprogramme the system and keys. I also found and old service record that said the previous owner had riped out some wires near the transmission while off roading and Jeep replaced them and a module.Maybe my sons done the same thing.I will ring Jeep sevice department on Monday and it looks like I will be hiring a trailer and taking it to them. Thanks for the advice AroGantz.

UPDATE: So the dealer replaced a module on the transmission and flashed the computer last week and I haven't had an issue since including a 2 degree morning this morning so it looks like it was an easy and painless fix.
