Might be a good idea to delete the Hawkins/Szubanski references... seems a bit too close to being defamatory....unless you want to take the risk....

Mate I own 2 Landcruisers (105 series owned for 7 years and a 2010 200 series owned from new for 4 years) and they are no more reliable than any other make of vehicle I've owned. The reliability thing is just Toyota marketing hype sorry. I haven't owned a Jeep before but that's why I'm not concerned to take delivery of a new Wrangler next month as I'm confident it will be just as reliable as anything else if I service it and look after it appropriately.

Just seen this post. On thursday i traded my 07 prado d4d for a 12 unlimited 3.6 . The prado was a grate 4wd, i did 240000km, the only thing i had to do was change the injectors at 200k mark and i got away with that for $1700. I hope (really really hard) that i can get the same reliability i got with prado. Both are really chalk and cheese. The prado really dose handle so much better and is much larger but the wrangler is just fun

Africken men!
I just went through a jeep hate phase and almost traded mine in on a 4.2 gu or 76 wagon.
The 4.2s are starting to get to old for my liking (37k for an 05)
And I dodged a bullet with the 76 imo,
Gee they have flaws and an incompetent service and warranty (just like cjd)
