Thanks for your input, the bumper is a two piece, worst case I can pull the middle piece of, however I looked at a lot of bumpers before going with this one and I really liked it 'each to their own' and would like to make it work, just trying to figure out a way to make it work now.
Speaking to Jeep, they have looked at it for me and they certainly didnt point the finger at the bar right away, the mechanic there mentioned that it wouldve certainly amplified any minor issues that may have caused overheating, he touched the viscous fan and said it was really light, noted that i may need a hub fan which would help the drag and suck out more air..
And no unfortunatley I got it from the states, so I will def be going back to them with these concerns, I just assumed that it was something to do with the intercooler because they only sell petrols over there and maybe no one has complained because they dont have a front mount intercooler.

Thanks for your input Jasper, do you think I could install a fan in front of the radiator?

the heading states it is a manual, not an auto guys.
And surely he is taking the piss with a picture like that. And if his mechanic is clearly a monkey as soon as he saw your car he should have told you that it will cook itself.
The yanks will often remove ALL under body plastic allowing air flow to cool from under the car as well.

By the way, diesel engine produce less byproduct heat than petrol engines - thats the reason the CRD takes so long for the heater to warm up on a cold morning...

As I mentioned I really like the bumper, as a complete set 'its a 2 piece' and would like to make it work, do you think i could either create an ram duct for it or install a fan in front of the intercooler to fix th issue.
Its a cool bumper in my view, unbfortunatley poorly designed with the centre part as i have experienced now but its different.. I am just phishing to see if anyone has had a spike in temperature from having a large bumper winch at the front, hopefully i can come up with an affordable and neat modification to re direct the air..

I'm not taking the piss, as i mentioned each to their own on what you think the bumper looks like, if you can provide some helpful information it would be appreciated.
I cant see any under plastics anymore, the factory bumper had a metal shield attached to it which went under the car which has been rmeoved.

It's difficult to see exactly what's going on there from the photo, but I'd suggest that making this work will be more trouble than it's worth. The radiator and intercooler work by passing fresh ambient air directly through it, continuously. This is achieved via the mechanical fan or driving at speed (or, normally the combination of both). Even electric fans are, in my experience, next to useless.
If you really want to make it work, you will need to find a way of channeling air from the front of the jeep, around the obstruction and into the grill so the engine fan can pull it through the radiator. This will require some serious ducting.
