Help... Cylinder 6 misfire.
Hi guys i have a late 2011 jeep jk wrangler, driving home today and engine light came on, i did the work the code out and it says i have a P0306 which is a cylinder 6 misfire. Taking to dealer tomorrow morning. Its out of warranty and its only got 39000kms on it. Do they cover the cost??

If its out of warranty it'll be a full retail job unless by some luck/good grace they may replace the part under warranty if its just out by a few weeks.. but then again it is FCA Good luck mate

I hope they cover it, reading articles online and apparently its a common problem on the 2011, 2012, 2013 models. It does go on the say Chrysler covers it but that was in America.

It's a known manufacturing defect, as a result the warranty period for a these engines has been extended to ten years. Push hard some dealers will try to get out of it but others have been successful

Oh yeah i assumed it was a 3.8 being a '11, good call guys on the 3.6

I've had the same fault happen on my late 2011 (3.8L). I was in a NP about 100kms from home. The car hadn't missed a beat all day so I drove home with it, cleared the fault light and never had a problem since.
