These bolts are splined and need to be pressed out, not too difficult...

As Jj said. These bolts are pressed in.
I'm not removing them, in my application. I've used two sets of standard links. Cut the eye off two(for the top) and the eye and straight section of shaft,(for the bottom.
Going to join them with a 4" section cut from an old standard tie rod. And secured with a couple of lock pins.
I'll post pics later...

I did the same thing, different length though but without extending the bump stops, first time I went over a speed hump at work resulted in a loud thump and two nice impressions in the inner guards from the tops trying to get into the engine bay....

I have installed extended bump stops, but won't know if they are sufficient, until I have the shocks.
It's quite interesting, and I'm enjoying the experience, so far, of building a lift from scratch.

As a guide, the RE 3.5 inch lift kit uses a shock with a compressed length of 17.2 inches with about a 1.5 inch extra bump stop.

Not many places with the unnescessarily hot 195* ... but 190s ought to be hidden on a shelf somewhere. Even the 180 will be fine if you're stuck needing something in a hurry.
Even hicksville where I am has 'em at the storefront, ford, holden, and auto accessory shops.

Nope none nothing tried the only 2 places in town apart from going out the dump and pulling one from a wreck I thought they would carry thermostats in case someone or passing Grey Nomads might be getting a bit HOT
it wouldn't cost much to have a few on the shelf

That's a bummer Jj. 😨
Just offering mine up, looks like they are the right length.
I royaly f u Ck e d up with the shocks. 😭
They're the same length as what I have. 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Will suit a 2 or 3" lift. Too bleedin short for me.
And it's goin to cost me $60 to take the buggers back!!!! More fool me. Rushing see, not researching properly. Not seeing the forest for the trees.
Anyone want a pair of Old Man Emu's for the front of their Jeep? $300 posted. 😂
Bed time. Goin to dream about what colour to paint my disconnects.

Thanks man. I'm looking at a couple of choices. The bloke at ARB can't get longer shocks, to swap. But I can buy them, online. Go figure. So, I'm looking at ome's. Fox shocks. And I can't remember the other one off the top of my head, right now.
Should get them, posted, for less money than I payed for the ome's from arb.
Why can't I just be bloody patient?
