OK so all done that was a dam site easier than on my XJ. also by the looks a little easier that later wk2 with the 3.6 less plumbing in mine.
there a bunch of different size and depth bolts involved and an interesting method premoted on YT was to place the bolts in the corresponding holes in the new pump as it sits on the bench, then once the old pump is off swap then back to it
as there's a heap of them it stops getting them mixed up.
the bolts are torqued to 9 foot LB my torque wrench won't go that low so i just nipped then all in an X pattern like doing a head then gently tightened to what i felt was good ( years of experience does help thou)
i used the Penrite HOAT coolant, no leaks no noisey bearing so win win
time will tell ( as the old pump wasn't leaking just noisey ive kept it, one never knows......

I had similar torque with a Ford head something like hand tight, scary as heck on the alloy everything jobs after Cruiser and Landy bits needing a crane to lift the things.............
Thats the way with the bolts, I would use the new part as a template and trace it out on a cardboard box, punch holes in the spots then drop each bolt into its spot, then move the box well away from me so I didn't kick the damn thing over...Don't ask.....
Stuff I was reading was blaming the coolant for eating the gasket which caused the head drama, a long shot I thought at the time ....
I reckon you'll be right ...........
If you read up on the stuff you will see HOAT gives better protection from corrosion but only good for 5yrs/100K while OAT is longer life with less corrosion protection and really if well flushed at change either either is okay, I prefer to change at 100K to make sure whatever coolant used........... a bit like stretching out the service intervals to me is why.

On the subject of coolant for the diesel, my level was always on the low mark when cold so just to be different, filled 3/4 towards the top mark. Checked when hot and I am half an inch over the full line. No leaks but is this expansion normal? In all my leak repairs of past, never noticed this until now.
