Southern Highlands Trails?
Can anyone give me a couple of tips on trails near Goulburn Braidwood area please. I am getting a couple of responsible people together to go and have a bit of a run. I'm not looking for "A" grade but B or C would be fine. Any hints would be greatfully appreciated.
Regards,
CJ Burns

Southern Highlands Trails?
CJ,
Yawal, Turtle Firetrail, Bendethra, Tianjara firetrail - there are quite a few options especially east of Braidwood towards the coast.
I have quite a few 4wd guide books - nearly all of them include a trip to Yawal and/or Bendethra. I also have a book called "4WD Adventures Southern NSW" which has trek notes for 14 trips - all south of Nowra. It is by Boiling Billy Press but their web page doesn't seem to list all their titles. Try a quick puruse in your local book store.

Southern Highlands Trails?
Thanks Matt,
We are camping at Tarago so we need a day return run, with a bit of time for breakdowns getting stuck etc.
Yalwal was a bit far to go and return from Tarago as a day trip, but I think it may be back on the table, Tianjara Trail was closed last time I went past, so it might be ruled out. I shall also look at Bendethra. Where/what is Turtle Trail?
Any other hints would be greaat.
Tnx,
CJ

Turtle fire trail is on the south side of the Kings Hwy about 1/2 way down the Clyde - it goes up Duddles Hill if you can find that on the map. Look for Monga State Forest and Corn walking trail.
