Hi pretty new here but thought I would add in. Just finished off a 3" lift and put on a front bar I've been building for the past few months when I get the time. The bar was found at the tip for $30 and extensively cut, cut some more, ground down and welded. All up cost approx $100.

Rebuilt the rear driveshaft today, replaced one of the Unis and the ball centering unit in the cardan joint. Vibes and rumbles now gone Almost ready for my trip to Fraser now. Took a total of about 90 minutes.
Cheers
Steve

Nice looking bar. Hope you dont over heat now with that much air blocked. Dont know what state you are in but not roadworthy to have them that close to togther either in Victoria. From memory it must be a minimum 600 mm center to centre between driving lights.

GOJEEP I'll see how it goes with the heat. As far as I can tell (off the QLD gov mod rules) only fog lights have to be 600 apart. The bar looked a bit chunky and the lights aren't wired yet. I was half thinking about putting on a bit of bar like the TJ ARB ones, but same thinking about the heat. It's easier to unbolt the lights. I don't do much night driving at the moment, so probably don't need any at all. On another side, I found that the blue boat trailer rollers cut down worked for the bumpstops for the lift. I had some left over already cut at 50mm from another boat trailer project, and they fitted really nicely in the coils. Cheap too.
