Worth every penny. Except no pennies were used, just dollars.

Yom, you are right. I was asked to have my windscreen insured at extra 40$ no basic excess but I was "over smart" thinking it won't happen as it is a jeep.

It does not matter, as long as they comply to australian standards they're fine.

The dealer's price = 3 X of this (as how I was quoted) plus no on site service ... so my calculation is unless I smash the windscreen every 4 months in a year but I heard that the Chinese version comes stronger than Mopar!

I also have insurance and lot long had mine replace with Racv.
Don't even thing I pay any extra.
My wife has a Astra covert able and got up one morning and her L/H side window was broken.
Thought it might be cheaper going through Holden then insurance. Apparently there was only one left in the country(not sure where)
Holden wanted $1,000 for it and so we rang out insurance and they said they would only pay the different between our excess and what windscreen obrians cost were. Then we rang Windscreens obrians and they did it for $400. Like I said there was only one in the country and we got it.
Cheaper then Holden, cheaper then if we when through our insurance and the funny thing is Obrians would of replaced it no matter who we chose. Pays to shop around!
