do the TJ's have rear sway bars?
ok people there's no need for people to be little smart arses.
i know your meant to disconnect the front ones for greater articulation, im having a little trouble since some f*ck nut, the guy that owned the jeep before me, or a mechanic cause i do think it had ever been 4wding, stuffed the bolt head so i cant get the bit into it. and on the otherside its so tight its soking in wd40 at present.
so what your saying is dont disconnect the rear ones? good thanks wooders and dale, the only 2 sensible ones

might be a stupid question here mate, but are you using a torx bit to try to undo the bolts? The bit you wanna use is a T55.
Sorry if this post is a waste of time. Just trying to help BRB.

I also scored an exact 1000 on the ramp at jambo, and that was with the OME 2" and the rear swaybars connected.
I ran without them for a while, but wasnt too happy with the on-road performance.

I run no rear swbar with 4" Tera springs (stiff as buggery) and notice no diff whether towing or spirited cornering on two wheels.
In comparison.. without the front onroad turns it into a deathtrap.
BTW... is this a smart arzzz ? ->

anmywayz thanks for all the help everyone.
i'll leave teh back ones connected for now since i do 100 times more driving on the road - doing about 600km or more a week.

Was pretty sure u were...just checking tho. Once you get the buggered one off i'm sure you'd be able to replace it pretty easily.

do the TJ's have rear sway bars?
Must be a newer TJ feature - My rear SB doesn't have evil Torx bolts...
Oh yeah I also had a problem of the springs falling out at one stage without the rear swaybar too....
Gordo - I was fairly happy without the rear swaybar until I was towing my little trailer up the M5 and zipped over that absurbly steep crown into the fast lane and nearly lost it.......THAT was when I thought I'd put the rear swaybar back on....
