Just checked the ride height measurements. They are pretty much the same as after the 500km check and thats after towing a van around.

Warren - Hi
Yep... I'll probably go some polyurethane spacers as well. I just don't want to go too high before I have to start rotating diffs, etc. I'm not sure that I like or (really) trust the fact that the drive shafts are driven via CV joints rather than fully fledged universals....
I think that I'll keep the OME package for a while and see what it's like when I get the full weight of the drawers in. On road it does seem to handle a bit better though - crisper through the sweepers etc.
Cheers
Chris

Maybe I'm just a bit behind in the debate here, but I'm a bit bemused as well. If you are after a "lift" less than 30mm then it's no big deal - fit coil spacers and enjoy your OEM ride.
Adjust bump stops and lift the shocker mounts the same and away you go!
Tops in $$$ is bugger all. Cut the spacers out of insertion rubber and glue them together - 3 at 12mm = 36mm lift. Four of the same equals just under a 4" lift. Fit them above the coils and drop your bumpstops the same.
Get a front end alignment directely after!!!!
Go for longer shockers or lift the shocker mount to suit.....
Easy DIY lift...and if you are worried about rear end weight, load up the Cherokee with all the gear and measure the rear end sag. Build spacers to suit.
Be warned that going over 36mm means UCA and LCA will be over their limit and more will be needed to be done as in the more you modify - the more you need to modify.....

Cheers. I have CV's rotating both ends of my front drive shaft and the front of my rear shaft. I'm already noticing a little vibration under heavy acceleration and I have to say that this wasn't a problem prior to the fitment of the OME kit.
I'm going to investigate changing back to uni's before I add spacers.
My beef with the kit is that the ARB dealer should know by now that you don't get as much lift from a Laredo (diesel especially, I'm now told) .... so why not warn a buyer prior to $1,200 being handed over?
I'm still waiting to see what the kit does for me with a heavy load on board. It still skitters all ove the place on loose/corrugated dirt roads.

The OME lift is only a 20mm lift, the design of the kit allows up to 20mm of spacers to be installed in the system. I am suprised the installer did not inform you as it is in the design brief of the system.
Drop me a PM / we can get about 60 to 70mm out of the WJ comfortably. The WJ is one of the most dificule vehicles to set up. Loaded things become VERY critical and the dynamices of the trucks spring / shock rates need to be 100%.
Sometimes real vehcile specific knowledge from a specialist pays off.
