Thank you. Now my wife won't have to stand about six inches from the right rear tyre for the remote to work! I might get in the door over the weekend and see if there is a wire or not. Mine is 2003, so theoretically there should be one. Has anybody priced how much the replacement module is?

Hey Kiwi - when you open it up you may find that your wire is broken. Then again who knows when they started bringing these out in Australia? They may not have updated the systems by 2002/2003.

Interesting what what door would it be on RHD jeeps. Right or left.
Theoretically, if it should still be a passenger side then it would be our left front door.

Yep - definitely in the passenger side door.
As per Bikemat's earlier post in this thread, it's actually part of the electric window/central locking switch in the passenger side door.
I had a feeling this was the case anyway, as my remote works better when near that door.
