Hey Fraz, I'm interested in your comments re: the Brown Dog urethane bushes. I've just fitted some and was a little worried about a buzz that I can feel through the steering wheel, especially under hard acceleration from about 2500prm. Idle is certainly rough too, especially if the trans is left in D. Accentuates any vibes that the dash etc has.
Do you get that buzzing coming through too or should I have the alignment of the trans looked at? I have a mild lift and with the new engine mounts and new trans mounts I'm wondering if things have moved just a little too far.

Vibrations are normal with polly mounts unfortunately but they are also great at transferring torque and I think that's a pretty good trade off. The only piece of advice I can contribute is that if you have polly engine mounts than you should also have a polly tranny mount or the difference in flex/vibration can lead to a cracked bell housing! I can tell you I have seen this with my own 2 eyes and have spoken with the owner of brown dog about it and this is highly recommended. Take it or leave it.
Cheers.

Well, thanks for that advice! I was thinking that the main issue might have been cracking in the body where the engine mounting plates bolt on. I never thought about the bell housing! If the Brown Dog urethane mounts last I'll be happy with them!
