My vote is for a Bushman car fridge.
Very versatile because the height and volume can change. I can have 52l for camping and then change the lid to make it 37l and put it in the boot of my commodore for daytrips when the jeep isnt needed.
Current draw is only 0.66 amphours per hour (16a/h per day) and has built in and programmable battery monitor (no flat batteries:) )

Did lots of research, liked the engel's reliability records, however, 40l to small and next was 60l and with an XJ just took up too much room, the 40l engel takes up almost same room as waeco 50l. was tossing up until waeco had supper special that included 50l fridge, insulated bag, car mounts, power cables with smart cut off when battery is low and the transportable 36ah battery all for not much more than the 40l engel. have the waeco all seems good, is slightly roomier than the engel with the extras of a light and area for fruit/dairy that is not being chilled too much.
versatility and non rust exterior was the final decided combined with unbeatible price for the package deal

Box full of ice. You only need to put cans in it and they never last for more than a couple of days. Then when the ice melts you use the water to shower with:mrgreen:.
Make a trailblazer fit.
