Good video mate..especially loved the sound of the motor. You've given me a few ideas so I might have to invest in some more adhesive mounts. Took the boys out for a crosscountry bike ride yesterday and took some footage using the head strap mount..worked really well.

Just saw today the Kogan have made a GoPro knock off http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2013/07/ko...range-for-119/, I'll keep an eye out for a Gizmodo review on it.

Hi Kyro
I am sorry to hear about your hassles with the GoPro. Mine has been great. Took it to Phuket a month or so ago. Great for diving, elephant, buffalo riding etc.

Bgbazz, thanks for your comments. I can see that the head strap will work very well in rough terrain. Sort of stay with the action. Will have to invest in one when the missus is not looking

GoPro tips and advice?
I just bought my first one a month ago and am very surprised by the high video quality. Up to 4K is pretty damn impressive for such a small camera. I got the battery pack and the LCD screen as extras in the bundle and the battery pack doesn't hold a charge as well as the cameras own battery (lasts about half as long, so with the battery pack you only get one and a half the run time of the camera alone). The LCD screen is handy for having a look at your results strait away but you don't need it on all the time. As stated above if you point the camera in the general direction you get a great shot. That said I recently did a three week trip and the footage at the end was a mixed bag. The best shots are normally external and the internal shots are never that good. So having a camera man makes a big difference. Also as an aside I do a lot photo editing on my iPad but the go pro footage wouldn't load up on the iPad using the SD converter and the lighting plug converter.

I haven't been anywhere yet to teat the damn thing out! Did some mucking around with footage of the fishtank and when I try to play it back on my laptop the video plays at half speed and freezes intermittently but the audio is perfect...
