A Jeep bike, what a frightening thought - I can see it now, direct from the dealership:
*New brake pads - $400 (& that's V-brakes!)
*Original handlebar grips - $250
*New tubes - $75 - - each
I think I'll stick with those that "Specialised" with bikes.
Cheers ... Mark

At work we've got the GT avalanche 2.0 for $859 which we'd discount down to pretty close to $800 for cash. They're a great bike, i'm considering getting one myself. They're the cheapest bike on the market with HYDRAULIC disk brakes and they're a very nice feeling brake, made by tektro. 24speed, SRAM gearing (better feeling than shimano), triple triangle frame (very stiff and light), good rims etc etc etc.
You'll probably find that they've got better hubs and the like than giants
I wouldn't go past them!!
