right so let me get this straight.....driving my jeep with my doors off on the road (cos thats what is was designed for regardless of the ADR's) makes me a wanker?, i guess i'll be going solo tonight, "sorry my gorgeous girlfriend, not tonight, TJbandit said i was a wanker, i better live up to the expectations"

The only offroad purpose I see is to improve visibility and possibly protect them from damage, but then again a door might protect you from damage too, I'd rather have a dented door than a dented body.

And wear a seatbelt whilst on your bike....
Also a good idea to fit some ROP to the bike whilst you are at it

So by that logic - there is no reason to drive a jeep with the roof down unless you want to be a wanker

It also depends if your doing it for the wind in your hair experience because you enjoy it or to look cool, if its just to look cool then yes total wanker just look at all the jeeps that do laps of briton filled with lebs with no roof they do it to look cool but they look like wankers.
We bag people in the other thread for putting spoilers on the roof because its pointless, much the same as removing doors on road
So unless someone can explain why you would want to drive with the doors off on road i will assume its only purpose is for looks and thats pretty Ghey
Funnily enough though dave everytime i see your tj on the road it has doors and a roof on so im not sure why we are disputing it??

First Why - Cause i can. Cause I love the open air. Cause I like the extra visability. Cause it's a little lighter? Cause I like no doors on the trail and it's better than carting then in the back? Cause my farts smell? Cause I don't really care what others think? Cause it's easier to haul my fat butt into & out of it?
Second Why - Cause I enjoy a good debate? Cause I disagree?
Third Why - Cause it's her TJ (My Jeep is the CJ in hibernation)

TJbandit, you never said that you need a reason to take the doors off, you said :"Maybe i can be clearer then, there is no reason to drive on road with your doors off other than to look cool. If you think driving a jeep is something to do to look cool you are a wanker"
so by that, i took it as....doors off on the road= wanker
correct me if im wrong though....
