FCA in regards to recalls have been good to me. When I got my letter about the heated mirror recall, my local dealer refused to book it in until it came in for a service. At the last service all they did was remove the fuse for it as the repair kits hadn't come in.
Mine's not a daily driver so it's a long time between services and because it hadn't been done FCA sent me several letters, the last one was registered mail to make sure I received it.
Still haven't had that recall done, by the time I come back from my camping trip in March it will be due it's 60k service so it should be done then.

Hopefully, all goes smoothly.

Booked in .... cancelled by dealer.... no parts available.... Ring early March.... hopefully get it done. Oh well, its 9 years old so I guess another few months won't matter. Oh, and the passenger airbag also needs to be done... but ... this hasn't been the subject of a recall in Australia as yet... FCA know about it, and the recall is active in US and elsewhere but not Australia. Why?

Why has it taken 5 years for the clock spring recall to hit Australia? Because they can.

Finally, I have a booked in date(s) for my S33 (clock spring)recall.
This coming friday we get the support Jeep done, and next Wednesday the touring Jeep done.
Still need to get the S43 (passenger airbag) done, however there is no stock and no forecast of stock. Wonder who is liable when the airbag goes off and shoots my passengers with shrapnel pieces....
Supposed to take 2 hours to install the S33 recall, I will let you know how I go after Friday.
It's only a little over and hour each way to get to the dealer....

My clock spring was replaced under the S40 recall 6 days ago, no problems. With the comments about changing the parts I wonder if I will receive another recall to replace the clock spring again!

Has anyone had S43 recall done yet? Replacement of passengers airbag due to shrapnel when deployed.
I though it was bad enough to be punched in the face by your Jeep when you crash, now it also shoots you as well ? Well, I guess it is an American build vehicle so it does make sense.
