Help required - jk lift... In progress
Hey guys... have just had a call to say my OME (yeh i know, why did i go OME bla bla bla, will do the job for the time being. If i'm unhappy with it i'll change it out sooner or later)... ANyway. OME lift has been complete, but
as i'm still waiting on my rock sliders & rear bar & winch the car has actually lifted 90mm due to lack of weight. So much for there definate 50mm lifts that have been corrected.
Question is: will this be ok assuming my bar & sliders will be here in 3-4 weeks & in that time the springs may have settled a little. Winch may be 2-3 months away from the US still... Castor angle is out a degree...
Assuming the DW is not present at speed, will i get away with this without too many hassles for the time being????? Or should i drop back to factory until everything turns up?
PLEASE any advise would be appreciated...

Springs will "settle" a little - if you don't like the nose up you could always fit some rear coil spacers to make it look less obvious for the meantime - not expensive in the scheme of things.
As per caster....... less = bad, more = good ( up to a limit of course ). If its squirrely on the road then it will need fixing - but you haven't mentioned control arms etc so unless you fit something adjustable you'll just have to live with it.
I'm running 6 and 6.5 ( passeger side ) degrees caster and it improved the stability significantly of the overall setup. This is quite a bit more than standard but having gone through the process with some expert advice and using a brand new - mega tech Bosch Beissbath wheel aligner i'm very happy with the result.

Castor has come in at pos/2 - where they tell me it should be at least 3.3? I thought a little more to be honest, somewhere around 4-6? As per mighty mouse??
The guys have taken it for a run at 90km/h + & seem think its running with no apparent DWobble. Not overly rough considering.
Has had the panhard rod drop bracket fitted..

Panhard drop.... i'm assuming this is the ARB one that damages rear shocks ? Been there binned that.
Without making it overly complex, lowering the chassis panhard mount isn't as effective as raising the mount at the diff end. The diff end raises the roll centre the chassis lowers it.

I know the drop does stuff all but I assumed it would help in the slightest . Would I be better to invest in an adjustable rod in the near future?

Its only a matter of time (not very long I expect) before you get hammered with a Death Wobble or at the very least an uncomfortable shimmy. I have a OME lift which I am now very happy with, however I needed adjustable front and rear adjustable panhards to properly centre the diffs and front adjustable LCA's to bring castor back to 4.5 deg.
