JKU Upgrade Path
Hi. New JKU owner. It's the 3.6 pentastar.
Before heading to the Jeep specialists and being sold the entire store I'm wondering what advice people have for the upgrade path. Bearing in mind I just spent all my cash on the Jeep I'm looking for good bang for buck. Eg steering damper relocate, sway bar disconnects, etc.
Not looking to do any metal tearing off roading, but I will be looking at getting out once a month around the Melbourne area, Mansfield, high country etc.
Thanks,
Mike

That kit with discos will get you going on the cheap without the hastle and expense of trackbars or mounts. If you upgrade springs and shocks later should be able to sell it for not much loss.

Another vote for disco's.
Don't waste money on budget boost IMO, get some recovery gear instead (if you don't already have it).

If you are in Melbourne join the Jeep Club.. lots of trips for stock JK's.. A set of sway bar disconnects ($200) and some offroad tyres will get you a lot of places.. MJOC membership includes a basic 4wd training course which will show you what the limits of your vehicle are.. get out on some trips and modify as you need according to the trips or type of trips you want to do..

You are on the right track with Disco's and dampener relocation, some good tyres, the only true essentials are rated recovery gear and UHF, even a handheld to start with would do and they are cheap.
Later on when you decide you want to go for more extreme sliders, bash plates and a lift but there is no point spending money until you know what you want to do in the future.

Cool thanks. I've got all the recovery gear, uhf etc as I have a wk that I use off road.
What are good brands of disconnects and dampener relocation kits that are easy bolt ons?
