Locked out of JKU.
So, I was wheeling in the Watagans over the weekend.
We came across a fallen tree that I thought would be cool to drive.
I drove half way over it, then stopped to get a photo. Leaving the engine running, I got out, closed the door, then took some pics. After looking a bit further down the track, I went to get back in, but all the doors were locked!
The engine was running, but we couldn't get in.
I called Jeep Assist, thinking they might have a trick to get in. They didn't, but said they could have someone out there within an hour. Pretty good service if you ask me.
We managed to get in by removing the rear window, so I cancelled Jeep assist.
Anyone know why this would have happened? Anyway, I'm going to get a spare key cut this week to hide under the Jeep somewhere.

Be sure its just a normal key, this way if someone finds it they can only open the doors but not start the car.

This has happened to me twice now and I figured it out.
When doors are locked (can be set to auto lock once setting off) and you open drivers door it will only unlock the drivers door.then as you get out you accidently bump the lock and close the door.

You can set it to auto-lock and auto unlock all the doors. It locks them when you are at or above 24kph & use the accelerator. Auto unlock will trigger all doors if you open either front door (JKU).
The magic sequence, (at least on an '0 , is key on/off 4 times then lock front door with drivers side switch* to enable/disable auto lock. And on/off 4 times & unlock with drivers side switch* to enable/disable auto unlock.
*The manual says drivers side, but mine is the US drivers side switch...
