ProRock 60's
Looking to import a set. I've busted the front 30, knew I would at some stage, so am now looking to bullet proof this thing.
Who's gone down this path? How did you end up?

can i just ask what you were doing and how the d30 broke?
I cant help you with the import unfortunately but im interested to know how you get on...
watch out for import duty and GST

Just driving up a river bank, little bit of lock. Was being deliberately gentle and still broke....
I'm good with importing, just curious about fitment and if anyone had a set?

was it the ring and pinion that blew? sounds like you didnt bend the axle housing or anything?
General opinion i have heard is that the D44 in the rear of the JK is pretty solid already (i think its actually a thicker ring gear than older d44's)
Even the J8 runs a D44 on the front, how come you.
I'm always concerned about the D30 but if I did upgrade I think a prorock 44 would be more than enough
How much are you expecting to spend on a set of 60's?

Oh, i believe hub diameter and stud patterns all change going to D60's too, so new rims and brakes are needed

When I bent my D30 I looked into this. Dynatrack didn't really want to know about it, just refereed me to Murchison Products. The axles have to be setup for your lift, swaybar and trackbar config which involves welding etc. At the end of the day, when you compare the US price with the aussie price (think bills got 44's for 3k at the moment), don't think there would be alot of saving unless you were importing in bulk.

Think you guys are right, the ProRock 44 will do this car, the 60 is going to mean a whole raft of things that need changing. But also means I won't be fitting a supercharged LS3 if the diesel packs up......
Also a lot cheaper.
Murchison looks like they'll end up circa $8.5k for a complete 44, according to their site. Not exactly sure how though, $3k housing, $1k locker, $1.3k axles, recycle outer D30 stuff? I'll enquire.
