Service Electronic Throttle Warning
So I got the dreaded "Service Electronic Throttle" warning last night.
2021 GC Trailhawk 3.0ltr Diesel
So this morning I dissconnected the battery to see if that resets it, if not then I guess it is back to Jeep.
It has also put up an engine light, so my worry now is will it still do a DPF burn with the light showing?
Also the designers of the car really need to have a chat with themselves re dissconecting the battery, terminal is practically wedged in under the floor, had to remove the bracket and move the battery to avoid shorting out the battery and creating a potiental fire.

Thats why its handy to have something like AphaOBD or similar code reader, one that will read Jeep though, not all do, then you can see the why and where plus clear codes, I had it appear a few weeks back while towing, when I managed to get off the road without sinking, actual code read was a manifold pressure discrepency, cleared it, everything ran okay then so once I was set up in camp I gave the MAP a clean and all good since, hundreds of Kms later it hasn't come back but the dash info can be pretty generic and can be caused by many other codes as well so it really depends on the number ... Your basic OBD reader will show the generic codes but one for a Jeep will show the company codes which are more specific and not able to be read by all.
It may self clear after about a dozen starts if everything checks out okay.

Update:
So I dissconnected the battery to try a reset, but that didn't fix the issue, so had to run to town on an errand about 30km's round trip. So the engine light remained on parked up in town done my business came out started the car, fault gone.
Couldn't see any module for the electronic throttle control either in the ALPHAOBD or does it come under something else?

Just check the fault codes, then hit clear codes once you have taken note of the code number.......... if its not a hard code it will clear after a few self checks, it may return but since you drove into town okay I would say its cleared itself till next time.... Mine while throwing the same screen message felt like a turbo hose had come off, so some sensor had a hiccup, so either the clearing of code or restart of engine or both sorted it out, no sense going to a dealer as they will plug it in, see nothing so declare nothing wrong....
Time for a dealer is when it chokes with the red engine light on and the tow truck carries it down the road.
Throttle control is managed by ECU juggling all the sensor data, air flow/temp/pressure in various spots, fuel temp/flow rate/pressures, eng oil temps/pressure, coolant temp, exhaust temps/pressures, EGR BS and foot position along with data from tranny and each road speed sensor and god knows what else, one hiccups and it can fall over, no actual module for it. ......

Yeah, I am going to take the ostrich approach with this, until it raises its head again
