Does anyone know where you can get seat mounts for 2001 xj's? I have a pair of race seats that I want to put in. (stops that numb bum feeling on long trips.) BTW I'm in Sydney..
Cheers,
Colin

Hi,
Can't help with alternative seat mounts but if you find good seats that fit let us know.
Slight problem with the travelling seat buckle too. It is fixed to the seat so you have to have seat with belt as well. Slight chance there could be a future liability problem if non-factory seat /seatblet is used.

Hi,
Was thinking about that.. I know you can take the seat off the runners (4 bolts). Could you fab up a plate to bolt the full width of the seat, and then drill the four holes for the runners? If you look under the seat, I think you'll understand what I'm trying to say!
I know my brother did something similar in MADCOW but that didn't have any runners. That and his head was ABOVE the windscreen and front part of the roll cage. (he's 5'6/7!). I don't see why it couldn't be done though.
Keeping the buckle.. I can't remember where it bolts onto, but I think you could just leave it (bolts to the seat base if I remember will look tomorrow!) Going to call Gonads (Matt Pisani, Pisani Fabrications in Londenderry. He's one of my Bro's friends. If he can make the mounts and engineer them (if that has to be done) Anyone else interested in getting aftermarket seats for their numb bum?
