Default What's Missing Under my Bonnett?

Hi,

I have a 2000 XJ Cherokee and something is missing from the firewall. Immediately to the right of the brake master cylinder there is a small hole in the firewall with a cross molded into the metal and a circular build-up of what looks to be glue and original factory paint. Something was obviously mounted there at some point but its gone AWOL.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mark

My 2001 has that also. Just a bung input at the factory. Mine's now gone and has a rubber bung there with my wiring etc for accessories run through it.

I would imagine it's for the clutch cable in a manual vehicle. Mine has a hole in that area as well that I use for running wiring through.
