Default WOMBAT STATE FOREST FRI NIGHT 26th MAR

.

Hi All,

I am a new JK Owner (2ndJAN) and avid trail bike rider, and on our dirtbiking forum (DBW) in an off topic converstation a fellow biker (good mate) got stuck into me ref the Wrangler. He thinks it is a gayboys car. So I started a thread in an non-dirtbike section about how good my Wrangler is. (2009 Black CRD auto) There has been the usual ribbing about reliability etc, but now the offroad capability is being called into question.

http://www.dirtbikeworld.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=67124

So I am calling on some jeep owners to join us in a demonstration.

15 of us trail bike riders (not the hoon kind) are having a 3day ride (and camp) at Wombat state forest in VIC 26-28 MAR. 45 mins from Melbourne CBD. The Friday night (26th) has now turned into a small night 4wd competition, however, my JK is only 3 months old, really clean and I would like it to stay that way for the time being (and I have only limited 4wd experience).

It would be great if some jeeps turned up in Convoy on the friday night at 7pm and showed us part time 4wd's what the JEEP can do (BBQ on us) There is a couple of 100 series and a kitted out hilux that they reckon they will poo all over the Jeeps.

We also have about 3 budding video producers that will be filming the whole thing. We are going to mount our helmet cams on top of / under vehicles. We will put up some token prizes if anyone wants to come. All are welcome to drink (responsibly) and tell tall stories with us around the campfire for the evening.

If there are any questions or any interest, please PM me. The 4wding on the night will be as hard or as easy as people want it to be. We have a load of GPS's and 4 of the guys attending know every track in Wombat like the back of their hand.

cheers,
Luke
