Hi, Big jugs,
I have a similar lease on my jeep, how long into the lase are you now and how long was the lease?
This one is my 3rd new car this way(started in 2004), BTW, I do a 4 year lease, and if you try and get out before 3 years you will lose, its after the 3rd year that the payout will mostly be less that whats its worth....its worked for me over the last7 years, 2 cars, both 4wd's but they were Nissans.
Thanks, Ben.

Hi Big N Chunky

Thanks for your comments, they do make sense too.

It's a 4 year lease. The final year will commence in Feb-11. I could wait and see how much the payout will be say in Mar-11 compared to what I get for it.

I'm in real rush to change vehicles as the Commander is a great looking and performing (at most times) 4WD.

So maybe Bigjugs is here to stay for a few more months

cheers

BigJugs...I am in exactly the same situation. I take the company car and use it for most daily travel and only put kms on the Commander when necessary. I hate to give it up and the company car wont tow the boat (legally). I'm lucky to have set the commander up in my wifes name and as she doesn't work we can have an "associate lease" thru my employer. Not all employers will do this. Basically my wife leases her vehicle to my employer at a rental she sets, my employer deducts the amount and running costs from my pre-tax salary, the lease payment is made to her (as her income) she is in a tax free threshold and I only pay FBT on the operating cost method.
