what rim width is the 17" stock wheel. . . . . . . ?

"some" of the early 08 ones were 8" i believe (but not many)

but yeah, the majority are 7.5"

When you take the tyre off the rim and measure it the tape measure will report about 8".

Same for most rims, they measure between half an inch and an inch wider than what they actually are.

stock offset is also +44.45mm

Perhaps that is the difference between measuring to the inside edge of the rim (7.5") and the outside (~8")? The inside edge is the important one. Mine is 7.5".

Yeah this is true, but I remember one of the fellas on here said his rim was stamped with 17x8JJ (or whatever it is) as opposed to the 17x7.5JJ
