stick with the 17's. Too many hassles to go to 16's on a 2010 model

If legally doesnt bother you then ignore my post
EDIT: I got it wrong, its 50mm wider track, so you can go an extra 1/2" wider each side again, or in other words 8" rim with 5 & 1/4" backspace. That would push the outer edge of the rim 2 inches further out, way past the stock guards.
Wheel track is the distance measured across an axle from the centre
line of one tyre tread to the centre line of the opposite tyre tread.
On a beam axle you can increase this distance by 50 mm, tyre width has nothing to do with it.sigpic

Umm, thats what I was talking about wasnt it! (but yes, I am having a bad day...)
What I was trying to say in what was probably a roundabout way, centre of rim to centre of rim measurement comparing stock 7.5" rims with 6" backspace to 8" rims with 5.25" backspace is the 50mm track increase limit. This pushes the outer edge of each rim 2 inches out from the stock position.
When referring to the tyre what I mean is the flat section of the tread will prob be outside of the stock guards by then.
EDIT. Just re read .. hangon Jasper, isnt that what I said! I definately am having a bad day - I need a drinkLast edited by SeaComms; 03-03-2011, 06:32 PM.Cheers, Dave :)
