Default New to Jeep

Hi all,
First time Jeep owner, coming from a long list of Land Rovers but just picked up my new 2011 Wrangler Unlimited CRD and am McLovin it.
After owning a LR for some time I have found these sort of forums to be very usefull.(Just have a look in a LR forum to see how big the section on LR issues is........)
Hope to find lots of great info and hopefully give out some myself.

Damian

Welcome aboard Damian. Appears you may be using the forum far more than you'd like with an introduction to Jeeps like that. (& you thought your car issues were behind you after ditching the Landy)
Sometimes the problem can be fixed simply by disconnecting the battery to reset the computer. Hope they find your gremlin quickly as when they're going the JK is a fun car to drive.

Welcome Damian, sorry to hear the Jk already throwing codes but you can find out pretty easily what was amiss. There is a procedure involving turning the ignition key on and off and then reading the flash codes to determine the cause.
Also if yours has the DPF in the exhaust, not wanting to jinx you the read the posts from JeepToBe about his experience for a heads-up.
Again welcome hope you iron out any bugs quickly and you enjoy your JK.
Matt

Hi Damian!
Welcome aboard mate... your got a long time Landrover guy here too. Still got a few of the buggers ontop of being a long timer with Jeeps... sucker for punishment. Atleast the Jeep does not have Lucas prince of darkness electrics... though one must wonder at times if it is his American cousin.

I had run the self diagnostics when the light first came on but no codes came up.....I was getting ready to take it to a dealer to see if they could bring any up but now that can wait until the 1K check.
