Love QLD Transport, anything can be bought for a dollar! When I looked at doing everything by the book and contacted QLD Transport, I would have paid more for the permits, engineering certificates and inspections than for the works. Madogs story seems to prove that fact!

Unfortunatley for my job I can't afford any attention from the "corrupt blue line", so I've kept the mods to a minimum, plus insurance is a nightmare to do legally. Go without declaring and run the risk.

I had a copper in SE QLD stop me to discuss my spottie's because they protrude pass the bullbar, his main interest was how effective they were because he did a lot of long distance driving in his Landcruiser. Need I say anymore on abuse of power???

it happens every day, i got pulled over after leaving powercruise last year, got the usual rif raf about tires extending past the guards but then the officer moved onto asking me what the jeeps are like on fuel and if it would be a good car for his son...

has anyone tried a partition? imagine how many 4x4 drivers are out there, pretty much everyone with even a mildly modified 4x4 is in the same boat. would have to be a considerable percent of the cars on the road.

wow, they dont miss you.

Here is a funny one for you, went to Double Island one weekend over easter few years back. The copper did me for rubber flares on a hilux "garden edging to cover the 33inch tires". Didnt give me a fine for the 33's though!

I argued black and blue and he would not listen. his excuse was the rubber could cause an injury if a padestrian clipped the side of the 4bi.

Have had some good cop's in the past but unfortunately the majority do nothing for civillian/ law relations, they wonder why the get attitude on occasion.

Long story short i took it to court and the charge/fine was dropped, i can garantee you though the bloke that caused me all this trouble did not loose a days wage and go through the stress due to someone not knowing anything about the law they are meant to inforce. Sometimes it pays to not lay down and just say pass me the lube.
