Yep. The front auto lockers only lock uo when load is applied to the front driveshaft. Until then, even without free wheeling hubs the front end will not be locked.

thanx for the replies, 1 question i do have to blokes who own the 4wdsystems lokka is when you bought your locker did it come with the small pins? as mine didnt it only came this arvo whilst i was at work so i havnt had a chance to ring them yet..

Dont touch Spartan. I have had both. Lokka is heaps better and hasnt exploded like the Spartan.

Auto lockers stay locked and unlock (clicking) when you turn. In a tight turn (carpark) they will be more harsh. For off road I love em, point and shoot.

James, if you had a problem with the spartan I would have strongly suggest you contact your supplier for warranty (unless it was a faulty installation).
Also what oil did you run with it? The spartan IMHO likes a heavies grade oil than standard.
I have not had a single warranty claim against the Spartan to-date..
