Default Anyone tried one of these Jaycar cams?

As title suggests, saw these pop up on another forum with no feedback - keen to hear if anyone has tried / thrashed one as they seem to be a nice, cheep alternative to the GoPro:

TIA!

Not having tested it it may be OK, but the price isn't that great, and the resolution (for stills at least) is pretty iffy. Too expensive to be disposable and (probably) not tough enough to survive the rough stuff.

I've a GoPro - more expensive, but far, far higher resolution, wifi, comes with a case that is rated to 60 metres under water versus 3 metres on the Jaycar, a ton of really good accessories to mount it to pretty much everything, smartphone and tablet apps, hdmi out and tough as. Sony and Contour also make similar devices that rate very highly as well.

You can probably pick up an older model GoPro, Sony or Contour, or a second hand one for pretty close to what that Jaycar one costs. Trust me - you'll be happier in the long run.

That said - I've been looking for something cheaper to mount under my quadcopter while I'm learning just in case (or rather, when) I prang it. The GoPro would survive OK based on this video, but want something that is more aerodynamic.

Someone is making good money, i got the exact same one at Kmart for $49.0,, Have compared them and it is exactly the same one, i use it on the handlebars of my bike and genuine gopro on my helmet, they are a little bigger than gopro. Like gopro you need to use a good quality card, at least a 10.
