Default Sound Horn

Hey guys,

I've done a bit of searching on the internet and come up clean with how to enable (or disable) the sound horn with RKE. As most of the sites are US, I figure it might be more relevant to ask here, as all the advice was probably geared towards US buyers.

FWIW, it's 12 months old, Cherokee Limited.

What I'm aware of:
  • You can hold the 'lock' button for 5-10 seconds, then the 'panic button', releasing both. I don't have a panic button
  • You can use the EVIC system. It doesn't appear there where it should.
  • Read the instruction manual. It mentions 'sound horn on lock', but doesn't elaborate past that, where it's mentioned with the lights flashing on lock (which do work)
  • I've taken it to the dealership who said they couldn't find a way to enable it. Bit baffled at that

The other thing I must add is that the reason for me pursuing this is the feature was something I loved on an old car (15+ years ago) and found that my Jeep was randomly doing this. I would go to unlock the car and found the horn would go off, but not very often - perhaps once a month.

Obviously the feature is available, but I've also heard the option can be disabled in EVIC when exported from the US.

Any information would be fantastic, hopefully there's at least one person out there who has had the same issue!

Thanks
