Default Boffin here!

Hi All,

So long time lurker first time poster!

I finally bit the bullet last weekend and got my first 4x4. A green, 1997, XJ, 4L. It’s a Classic series one (not the fancy update).

All in all I'm happy with it and I'm totally happy to get my own car again, after sharing a Tribute with my wife for the last 2 years.

It hasn’t been a week yet and i have been sourcing parts of eBay cos the local wreckers don’t have ANY Jeeps. But that is the way it goes. So it sounds like i have the fever.

I'm in Warrnambool at the heart of the Great Ocean Road and would appreciate hearing from other 'locals' who are freezing their arses off this week. Thats me in the pic BTW.

Anyway, I'm off to the XJ page (I have a bung electric window to fix)

Cheers,

Glenn

I just read that the XJ was a tribute to your wife…
Too many beers too quickly.

Welcome

Hay Dave,
no my wife gets to keep the Mazda Tribute. I get the real car.
And when I was on my way to get the xj some biker boy racer t-boned the tale light and smashed it. Thankfully he was ok but I was stuck with an urgent need for a new light.

thanks for the welcome

G'day Glenn,

I'm in Warrnambool also mate. I have a 1983 jeep j10 with a grey canopy.
I whole heartedly agree that it is disgustingly cold here this time of year.

Cheers mate
Justin.
