About $30 in parts from Bunnings.
So what's it made of Manu? We can't copy it without details

Forgive me but I did not write down the exact part names. I have just wondered through Bunnings trying to find parts that could work well together.

parts:

2x 3m lcv pipe (one could fit in the other like a 32mm and 25mm) less $15.

2x matching cap ends less $4.

1x ??? don't know the name - black pipe coupler that would match both pipe size $8

1x safety orange flag $1.5

From memory to fit in the cabin it had to be less than 2m collapsed.
I would have cut the thinner pvc pipe to that length and the thicker one 30cm shorter to fit the black coupler and leave some room for the flag.
I had to trim the inside of the coupler to the let thinner pipe go through completely.

Used a bit of gaffer tape at the end of the thinner pipe to endure a tighter grip when fully extended.

Than attached the flag with some rivets.

This is what it looks like put together (i also added some cheap led bicycle lights) :

Attached inside the car with some bungee straps.

To attach it to the spare wheel I have used some bungee cords. As long as you loop it around the pipe a couple of times before attaching it the rim, it should create enough grip to prevent any sliding.

Fully extended and attached to the car the flag was above the 4m mark. The pole is quite flexible but it did not break or flex enough to hit the roof.

Hope it helps

OK, not really this week, more like over the last few months.....

Added Teraflex spare wheel carrier and tailgate hinge to eliminate the rattle that I'd developed in the tailgate. Still don't know what was rattling but the Terflex kit stopped it and is an amazingly solid piece of kit.
Also fitted a MOPAR tow bar and re-jigged the wiring loom to allow it to extend up to the spare mounted license plate holder that comes with the Teraflex tyre carrier.

Now just got to wire up some spot light on the rear and fit them to the number plate holder.

Also just added some White Knuckle Off Road side steps.

I wanted something that gives full coverage to protect the side of the car and was still able to be used as a good step for the vertically challenged. These seemed to fit the bill and they're solid so no fear of bending these up into the bodywork like I did with the stock plastic steps. They also do an option of flat or 20˚ angle so I chose the 20˚ angle version to help with the clearance. Even flat they're still up higher than the chassis rails though. If I had one criticism after looking at these photos it that I would probably have preferred a textured powder coat but I can always spray them with a ute liner spray or something to get rid of the shine (and hide the scratches once I start to use them off road!). I fitted them with some Bushwacker sill protection covers that I've had in the garage for a couple of years now.

I really like these!! How much did it cost to freight them over? Also, do you have to drill and bolt these sliders to the chassis rails?
