I've been living with the knowledge the fan I got from you was the ZJ HD packaged as XJ clutch by USMW.....

Well, Hamsteh and all others that might have been thrown off: my apologies. I apparently had experienced tiny clearance with an UNKNOWN fanclutch.

Carry on as planned with all your own fan clutch ideas!

Err nope we sold you a regular XJ Fan Clutch. I was sure you had purchased the HD unit from OS (otherwise we would have exchanged).

Yes, your absolutely correct, Mixed things up. Hmm, can you maybe tell me what fanclutch I have received from USMW? I believe thats the same one as your supplied fancluttches from USMW that turned out to be other fanclutches. Or is it exactly that, which is now a mystery: what fanclutch is that?
Sure looks like a HD one..

( for some reason it wont let me put the pic in, because I already used in on another thread...)

Well, I've performed two tests.

1. Hot test, turn off engine, note how long fan rotates after shut-down..
Stops almost immediately.

2. Cold test. Spin fan and note how many rotations.
Not many. Barely 1 - 1 1/2 .

BUT.. I have noticed a slightly higher running temp (it's summer, dip stick) and had an over heat moment a couple of weeks ago. Although this could have been an aggravated circumstance. eg. Hot day, steep climb followed by a steady incline done in OD. With no e-fan. (it's full manual) Plus, I wasn't driving. Just sayin .

All in all though I'm still not happy. For a few months now I've noticed no roar from the engine fan.
Cheap insurance to just replace the thing...

cheers
