Hi Black-XJ
I bought my kit from ID parts. Got timing belt, idlers, timing cover gasket, serpentine belt for accessory drives, water pump, timing belt tensioner. Should also have bought the serpentine belt tensioner. Had replaced bearings in serpentine idlers so they are ok. Did not replace water pump because of the extra work involved. If you need any more ifo, just post to this thread

ordering the timing belt kit ?

Hoping darrenr, or someone else with experience on this job to confirm this for me...

If doing just the timing belt, only need the small gasket for the centre hole of the outer timing cover, an odd shaped, self adhesive on one side, gasket. If doing water pump, need appropriate gaskets. The outer timing cover has a gasket bead around the outer rim. This bead stays in the cover and separates cleanly from the inner timing cover. In other words, don't need full gasket set. Hope this clarifies the issue.

Cheers there John, have just wondered when doing water-pump, whether or
not the gaskets for the rear cover are re-usable that's all...

As it doesn't have to stop any liquids from escaping, just to prevent dust getting in... when looking at the "Timing belt gasket kit" on its own, it
shows several gaskets, and maybe some spacers i think...
I will order it with the "Timing belt kit" anyway...

Hi Black-xj
Don't know about the gasket arrangement for the rear timing enclosure plate. May not have one. Just ordered a accessory drive belt from Jeepantalaktika in Greece for about $220 Aussie dollars delivered. Will keep Forum informed of my experience.
