And this is the water getting past the seal when it was washed with a regular hose (not pressure washer)

Do diesels have a vapour control system like petrols?
I thought all fuel systems had to be under negative pressure to prevent vapour leaks, if water gets past that seal air definitely would... Unless there's another air-tight seal in the filler neck itself (which would be hard to imagine since it'd need to open inwards)? Or not required for diesel?

I'd be more worried about water and dust than a pollution innovation. This would be one of the dumbest things I've seen, designers are not in the real world.

I don't like seals like that. Just look at door seals. how many cars go to the cape etc and come back with dust inside. I can't see this flap seal lasting any better than a door seal. Another thing suggesting to me that Jeep are not serious about this being an offroad vehicle.

Anyone else having trouble when filling up. Keeps cutting out then sometimes gets to the end & won't stop on its own. Actually had it overflow & spray out a couple of times. Many times I won't fill it right up so it won't overflow.
