Yep, they are around 20mm longer, I can compare them if you like to get the actual difference as I have both here....

After more reading, measuring and a helpful chat with Wooders I suspect my castor adjustments may have had something to do with bringing these components into a collision course. To try and achieve the correct castor in my car I had to pack the lower arms forward a considerable amount where I suspect that I should have used a combination of packing the lower arm and a shortened upper arm. As I am running stock arms I cannot do this and suspect that there are not any adjustable arms out there that have a shorter than stock minimum length.
I believe that the reason I have incurred this weird issue would be because my lift is a little on the low side!(First for everything hey!) Although I am running approximately 4.5 front and rear I suspect that this might be a little too low to be running the Rough Country drop brackets.

After living with the adjusted steering stops for 18 months and no longer having the hang ups(hooray) and still having very vague steering and the usual highway wandering of a lifted Jeep, I have decided its time to get this sorted, I know it will never be a wonderful steerer, its lifted almost 4 inches and running 32 inch TSLs, but I dont think it should be *this* bad.
Today I did the following on my search to get the thing to turn like it should:
1. Checked all the TREs for play (jacked front end up and shook everything along with cycling the steering components by moving the wheels) these all checked out good
2. Checked the hubs - One side 100% fine, the other has some play in it and will need replacing.
3. Plotted the next option, adjustable arms, tighten steering box, replace front control arm bushes.
I'll keep you all posted on how it progresses.
