Default 07 Wrangler JK Rubicon Dash Gone Crazy

Got a stock JK Rubicon and the other day while driving on the highway for about 10 minutes just got a random chime and oil light indicating I was low on oil (which I am not) and that the car is running hot oil. I received the hot oil message a while back while on the sand and installed a transmission cooler and have had no problems since. Since then my whole dash has joined in the fun and have had countless lights and chimes going off. The car drives perfectly fine although something electrical has definitely gone wrong. Please see the videos below if you want to know exactly what the car is doing. Anyone got any ideas what this could be?

Sorry no idea what it could be, but have you tried disconnecting the battery for half an hour or so then tried it again?

Check connections under the dash and reseat where required. Had all lights go out on my dash and windscreen wipers come on and not turn off on one occasion followed by lights out to dash and no wipers at all. Was a connection under the dash that had jiggled loose in the end.

Good luck

I had exactly the same thing happen to my old work car (Mitsubishi Outlander) and afyer countless trips to the dealer and unable to replicate or repair i unplugged and cleaned the computer connectors and all was good. Would have thought they would have tried that given the only fault code was intermittent loss of connection to to body control computer...

Had similar after my no-so-smartbar sway bar electronic disconnect crap got wet. It's a full CANBUS module all on it's owns (cleverly mounted below wading depth...).

Code scan showed lots of low voltage errors and communications problems on the CANBUS.

Try disconnecting the whole device and see if everything but the sway-bar light fixes itself after a ODBII code reset or after a battery disconnect for a few mins.

If it fixes the problem get a new not-so-smart bar under warranty or else a manual disconnect system instead. You can disable the sway bar disconnect light with a procal (or some black sticky tape).
