Default Engine control module repair

Has anyone had their electronic control modules repaired ? Any information on a competent repairer would be appreciated.

GDE used to provide a swap service if you bought a tune from them, but now CRDSTU is their local agent and he handles the business here. Now they simply send out the programmer with the tune loaded on that but its worth asking the question of Stu. GDE may still have ECU stock in the US.

BTW the ECM is a Bosch unit with a Bosch part number, you might be able to source a replacement unit from a Bosch auto parts agent. You would still need to get it flashed with the software. There is a website called openecu.org which had a post about the Bosch part number, I think it was ECM15 or ECM16.

Hi glend.
Sent an e-mail to Stu and he said to buy a new module and have Jeep flash it. So apparently not into modules to that extent.
