Just to confuse things further, mines a 2011 CRD KK and not sure what the box model is but its a 5 speed semi auto as opposed to full auto box.

What do you mean by 'semi-auto'? Does it not shift by itself or do you need to tell it when to shift up and down gears?

I ask, as I had a Subaru Liberty GT with the auto, and it had the paddle shifters so I could put it in 'manual' mode. It would however down shift when slowing regardless.

Greg

I have the same '11 CRD auto and its a gear limiter. You paddle up or down to select max gear and the vehicle will use all gears below that gear. However, when you tap once up or down it will change for you. I.e if you are already in D (all five) and you are sitting in 3rd gear you can manually shift to 4th.

The kk crd has a 5 gear automatic in which you can preselect the top gear.

The gearbox is designed by Mercedes with the code number W5A580.
The code number for the same gearbox used by Chrysler is NAG1.

The kk petrol has a 4 speed auto gearbox with code number 42RLE.
