Default Just listed the WH.......

Hi guys,
After weeks of back & forth, I have decided to sell my much loved WH.
I figure that I just don't have enough time to play off road, therefore cannot warrant keeping it.

Just listed it on Car Sales.

If anyone is genuinely interested, pop me a PM.

Cheers, Craig

Well, my WH has been advertised for just over a week now.

According to Car Sales, over 2,200 people have viewed my add and 111 have viewed it in detail................and...............not one phone call????

Here is the link.....http://www.carsales.com.au/private/d.../?Cr=1&sdmvc=1

Do you think that the price is a bit high???

Interested in your comments.

Cheers, Craig

Unfortunately yes, I think you are asking too much. As a guide RED BOOK lists $17,900 for 200,000km & $20,800 for 120,000km. And again unfortunately you wont get back even half of all the money you spent on upgrades. Just how it is. Also being over 200,000km scares people off especially being a potentially costly to repair/maintain Diesel.

Have never taken any notice of the RED BOOK when selling a car in the past, as I have always fetched way more.

Country Klm's and extensive servicing & maintenance have always outweighed the usual high Klm's that I travel.

Did similar mods to my D4 and fetched above average money even with the high Klm's.

In the case of the D4, the buyer was intending to do the mods / add ons himself and he figured that it was still good value.

Cheers, Craig

Great it's worked in the past for you but it's a buyers market. 200,000km is 200,000km in most peoples eyes country or city, there is just that stigma. Good luck with the sale.

Stick with your price, 200,000 is not high for a diesel.
I would remove the list of mods from the add & say new brakes & S/S exhaust.
Then put please call for other details.

Also say used to tow your boat as a lot will assume that it has towed a caravan around Australia.

200,000 is not high for the engine but it is getting up there for everything else and people know it. It's awesome value for what you get but buyers are scared off by high km, finding someone who recognises the value is the challenge. The reality is it could have a few expensive failures in the future.
