Default CJ7 AMC 4 Cyl

Hi I am wondering if any cj7's sold in Australia come with the AMC 2.5l 4cyl in the mid 80's?

I am helping my father with a build up of a MB body on a cj5 chassis and he has a AMC 2.5 I4 engine that he wants to use, but needs a bell housing and clutch forks etc.

Anyone know where would the best place to source a bell or bell and t4/t5gearbox in Australia?

These are the later 2.5l engines with the GM60 degree (trapezoid shaped) bolt patterns, same engine as used in 4cyl TJ's etc.

Thanks in advance.

There were, but from what I have been told, they were a POS so most were changed early on.

Best place to try would 80s/90s rubbish dumps

No 4 cyl TJs came to Australia
