Hey Guys,
This post is WAAAY overdue... but as they say, better late then never.
If you're wondering what's been keeping me so busy that I couldn't get to this event update until now, check out this thread, (
Growing Too Fast).
Our Weekend Wheeling event was heaps of fun! We got there early on Friday and had the park mostly to ourselves. We tackled lots of tracks and shot heaps of photos and videos the first day. Sitting around the campfire that night was truly inspirational. We threw a couple of large potatoes in some aluminium foil with butter and salt and popped them in the hot coals of the fire. While they cooked for the next 2.5 hours, we sat back and watched the stars while drinking some top-shelf Scotch. It was a spectacularly clear warm night with heaps of shooting stars. When the potatoes were finally ready, we threw some nice thick steaks on the grill. It was definitely one of the best meals I've had in a long time!
Saturday we were up early to a magnificent sky full of colours. Unfortunately while tackling one of the harder trails that morning we had our first casualty. A nicely setup Rodeo broke the front CV joint and we had to limp it back to camp. 7 year old Chase and his Dad jumped into the Chief WK2 and we tackled some tough trails on Saturday. It gave us plenty of opportunities to test out the latest prototypes of the
WK2 Lower Front Guard and the
WK2 Nudge Bar. That night around the campfire, 7 year old Chase told us how much he'd enjoyed his first camping and off-roading trip with his Dad.
We cooked up some massive burgers and a big bowl of Chilli that went great with the cold beers.
On Sunday, we met up with Kelly Larson from ARB and the Sunshine Coast Jeep Club for a few trail rides towards the back of the park. I'd never been back toward Prado Parade or the Rain Forest 'Dry Weather Only' area of LCMP. It was a beautiful area and a fun trail ride. The Sunshine Coast Jeep Club are a great group of people that love their Jeeps and love getting out and having some fun.
If you get a chance, check out some of the videos we shot of the Chief WK2 tackling the trails at LCMP. We've created a YouTube channel, (

If you'd like to see a few more photos and hear a bit more about the trip, check out the Weekend Wheeling blog post on the Chief Products website, (
