Default 1979 SJ Chief Wagon 2 door how much

Hi guy

A company I got a car from has a 1979 FSJ SJ Chief Wagon, 2 Door one owner with 110,000 kms, have not seen vehicle in the flesh but told its rust free (hard to believe). AMC 360 V8 as normal
If it's the same as the CJ7 79 most likely have th400 auto and quadatrack

They want to know what the market will pay for it. They told me a figure the hope sell it for and my comment was "in your dreams".

Yes you will have replace Cheif sticker

So guy could you pretty please have a look at the 3 pictures and tell me your options if it was rust free.

Is it worth $20,000 plus ???

How do I get it to take more then 1 photo on IPad, seats and dash look really good, inside best I have seen for a FSJ

If thats a legitimate Jeep misspelt sticker, I reckon they'll get everything they want for it, and more. Looks like a great piece. These were the ones assembled in Brisbane

That's a 78 model grill, and don't think Jeeps were assembled in Brisbane until 81. Love those 2door Cherokees.

$20k definately in their dreams.
Someone MIGHT pay that much if it's mint, but they'd need to find just the right buyer with the $$ to spend. And I'd guess they won't want to stuff about for months trying to find THAT buyer.
Absolute top dollar IMHO would be about $15k. But even then I wouldn't be surprised if they need to come down as low as $12k to move it.

Those things came factory fitted with rust, and given the Cheif Sticker it's probably been "overhauled" so that begs the question to the quality of the job (ie how much bog etc was used) and how much rust has been covered and is just lurking.

Unless it's your photo on my screen Warren, I reckon that paint colour isn't quite right. It's too olive for Sunshine Yellow (1978 ), too dark for Saxon Yellow (1979). The sticker isn't the only thing to have had a "touch up" methinks...

I think if you could get 10k for it in the current climate you would be doing very well. Even for someone that would really want it.
